Hood River-based Bula Farms recently won the Best Hybrid award at the Cannabis Classic during the 3rd Annual Holiday Harvest Festival cannabis competition in Portland.
20 cultivators submitted 35 entries, but only three received gold medals; and Bula Farms was one of them.
Bula Farms, which opened in 2015, won Best Hybrid with its strain called Fresh Squeezed OG, a cross between Face-Off OG and Ohio Lemon G. With its rich citrus flavors, Fresh Squeezed OG is described as being hard hitting and extremely uplifting which has made this strain the cultivators personal favorite.
Fresh Squeezed OG’s THC potency was measured at 27.81% by Eugene-based Iron Laboratories, who performed testing for each Cannabis Classic competition sample for the third year in a row.
Overall, Fresh Squeezed OG won with a score of 88.2 out of 100, which makes it the highest scoring flower in the Cannabis Classic in 2017.
“This is one of the best strains in the whole kit,” one Cannabis Classic judge said. “Fire! Sweet, citrus, and gassy aroma with a very pungent flavor profile. Nice invigorating, uplifting effects. I could smoke this all day!”
